This has been one of my most popular images by far. I shot this on an short photography trip to the Garhwal Himalayas in India. We headed up hill from Wan towards a lake called Braham Tal. It’s a high altitude pasture where the local shepards take their animals during the summer months to graze.
The area has some of the most amazing views of Trishul and Nanda Ghunti. During this trek I learnt the the best photos of a mountain aren’t taken from the base but from one or two ranges back. I have stood at the foot of both these mountains but the view wasn’t nearly as good.
