I took this on a short trek in Garhwal to take photographs of the mountains. A friend and I trekked up from the village of Wan to a high altitude pasture near a lake, Bhama Tal. We were treated to sweeping views of the Garhwal Himalaya and had giants such as Trishul, Nanda Ghunti and Kamet in what seemed like arms reach. This shot was taken along the way.
It was early spring and the snow covered hills in the distance was Bedni Bugiyal.
May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. – Edward Abbey
