Everest, Makalu and Kangchenjunga from the air

Everest (8848m) and Makalu (8481m)

On my flight from Delhi to Dibrughar we flew all along the Himalayas and I got some fantastic views of the the Himalayan giants on the way. Everest and Makalu were very obvious. Everest, kst peole know about but Makalu is the fifth highest mountain in the world at 8,481 metres and is located 19 km southeast of Mount Everest, on the border between Nepal and China

Jannu (7710m) and Kamchendzonga (8586m)

Further east we came upon the other Himalayan giant, Kangchenjunga (I prefer the spelling Kamchendzonga), the third highest mountain in the world. Just west of Kamchendzonga you can see Jannu or Kumbhakarna (7710m) is the 32nd highest mountain in the world.
